Our purpose built 20m marine tour vessel, the Amaroo is perfectly suited for the Great Sandy Straits and whale watching.
Being a fairly large catamaran the Amaroo is naturally stable and spacious making for a fast and comfortable cruise. Boasting three viewing decks, including shaded top deck, you’re assured of an unobstructed, 360° view of all marine life allowing you to make the most of your cruise. The fact that the Amaroo also features a spacious, fully enclosed cabin make her one of the most versatile ECO friendly vessels in Hervey Bay's whale watching fleet.

Our vessel's colourful engaging design was not only conceived to attract adventurers... the designers took into consideration the fact that whales engage with bright colours and as such the M.V. Amaroo Hervey Bay is one of the more enticing vessels to inquisitive whales that visit Hervey Bay.
The comfortable seating inside and out, as well as a completely enclosed cabin, allows for maximum comfort no matter what the weather.
With two Scania 350HP engines and a cruising speed of 18 knots you won’t waste time traveling, so you have longer to spend with the whales.
ACCESSIBILITY:
A moderate level of mobility is required to access our vessel.
Guests with mobility issues are given priority seating and are positioned near the captain to ensure additional care and attention where required.
Our crew will assist guests with limited mobility to access the vessel wherever possible. Unfortunately, guests with more significant accessibility requirements may be redirected to vessels specifically designed with suitable accessibility features to ensure their comfort and safety.

BOARDING & ACCESS:
At our boarding location here at the Hervey bay Boat Club, there is plenty of free parking A moderate level of mobility is required to access our vessel , move between deck and access our boomnet.
On board; the vessels has seven few steps to navigate to get into the main cabin area. Our vessel has large windows for viewing from the comfort of the main cabin & comfortable seating throughout.

Throughout our tours, our Skippers and Crew provide expert commentary to enhance the guest experience. As the cruise progresses, our team actively describes points of interest and wildlife sightings to ensure all guests can fully enjoy and understand what they are viewing.
Where additional support is needed, our crew take extra time to provide clear and detailed descriptions, helping to create a vivid experience for guests with vision or hearing impairments. Audio support is available through onboard microphones and speaker systems, while visual information is supported through onboard display screens and visual aids.
Guests requiring additional assistance may also be offered priority seating close to the skipper for easier communication and enhanced viewing, along with boarding assistance where required.
